How to Clean Stains on Oriental Rugs with Natural Products

Food, beverage or pet mess are all things that can leave a nasty and hard to remove stain on a carpet. Instructions

  1. Never wait a stain to dry before treating it because the waiting will allow the stain to settle into the rug fibers, making it more difficult to remove and in some cases, even impossible. Start by removing the excess of the stain with a spoon or paper towels, depending on whether the stain is solid or liquid.

  4. For pet urine stains, blot at the area with a clean cloth to remove as much liquid as you can. Then apply a solution of 1 tablespoon of distilled white vinegar per 1 cup of water and continue blotting until the stain is gone.
