A Few Alternatives in London

While tourists of London, England, tend to flock to some of the more well known attractions such as Buckingham Palace, equal consideration should be given to the numerous opportunities that can be found throughout such a wonderful city. For instance, should you find yourself at one of the hotels near Buckingham palace and you have already gone on that particular tour, take a stroll through St. James’s Park. Located mere minutes from Buckingham Palace, a few hours in the park will feel like a day at the spa. I can recount the numerous times that I spent in that 23 hectare park, sitting with friends chatting about what we should do next. There is something about that magical park that is dedicated to St. James the Less that holds a special place in my memory about London.

While this is merely one example of an attraction that many tend to overlook while visiting London, England, you should feel free to venture out of the tourist norms to fully appreciate everything that London has to offer; after all, you do want your experience of the city to be unique, in order to brag to your friends when you return home. To provide you with another great attraction of London, I shall reflect on the time that I spent at a Hyde park London hotel a few months ago. While many tourists are familiar with the park itself, something special takes place every once and a while in that setting. I am not quite sure of when in particular, but what is commonly referred to as ‘speaker’s corner’ is something that should not be missed by anyone. This particular attraction allows anyone to speak freely about nearly any topic; there are a few restrictions, but, again, it has been a while since I educated myself on the matter. As a rule, speakers that wish to participate in such an event must elevate themselves a certain distance from the ground. What a unique experience this was.
