Urine Stains – How to

Urine stains are maybe one of the most unpleasant stains to clean. However, if you have a small kid or any pets you will have to be able to deal with these types of stains. To do that you have to be hasty. Soak up as much of it as you can. Anything will do – towels, rags, tissues, kitchen paper you name it. Depending on the age of the urine stain you can do two things:

One is to make a solution using a non lanolin or bleach containing detergent in a cup of warm water. Any bleach/lanolin containing products will probably ruin your carpet. Sprinkle or scrub the solution into the spot. After doing that just use your vacuum and clean the carpet.

Now is the time to wash the carpet with warm water and use the solution again. Do this as many times as you need until the urine is gone.
For stains that are stubborn try adding a couple of spoons of ammonia in a cup of water. Wash, vacuum or blot and if you need to – do it again.
Use some paper tissues, kitchen paper or just any clean rag to dry the spot.
Urine Stench on Your Rug
Sometimes even if you’ve got the stains out of the carpet you can’t always get the smell out. If that’s the problem just read on and learn how to get the stench out. Some pets are highly territorial and most likely will mark their territory. The odour differs depending on the food you feed your pet and its age. You can find special detergents designed to wash off this smell in pet shops. If not just ask a vet to give you an advice where to get a product of this type. Another way to solve this problem is to find a professional carpet cleaning company and get them to clean it for you. Carpet cleaning London did a great work on my carpet. They will do so on yours too.
