The Best Restaurants in London

Have you ever wondered which is the best restaurant in London? Haven’t you ever wanted to visit it? Do you wonder where to take your wife for the mother’s day? I’m about to give you a few ideas.

I can’t say which is the best restaurant in London, because there are a lot of glamorous places in our capital city, but I can list a few which will certainly take your breath away with their luxurious atmosphere and appetizing meals. Here is a short list:

The Savoy Grill

This place is a living legend. It is located in the Savoy Hotel in London and dates back to 1889. It is fully restored and is part of Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant empire. The interior was designed by The Russell Sage Studio and is an exact copy of the original dining room. It features wood panelling, ornate chandeliers, antique mirrors and mohair covered seating. The head of the kitchen is Andy Cook and Stuart Gillies, who offer a variety of classic dishes from Britain and France.

Mezzanine Restaurant

It is located in the National Theatre on the Southbank, and offers exceptional modern Europe dishes, which change every season, in a formal and stylish dining room. The polished wood flooring and the cream tones used for the interior give a sense of warmth and cosiness. This menu of the restaurant is a little short, but the meals in it are perfectly balanced and will satisfy everyone’s taste.

Duck and Waffle

Located on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower, Duck & Waffle offers not only spectacular food, but a breathtaking view to the city, too. You will be impressed by the atmosphere of this restaurant as the floor-to-ceiling windows make it look very spacious and cosy. The open plan kitchen gives you the opportunity to watch how your food is being prepared. The menu of Duck & Waffle is very broad and offers British and European dishes, which include fish, meat, seasonal vegetables and other ingredients. The best part of the meal in Duck & Waffle is the bill, as it is absolutely affordable. Feel free to visit the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Skylon

Another restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows and a spectacular view. Guests of Skylon can enjoy both – modern European cuisine and an amazing panorama of London’s skyline. The restaurant is located within the Royal Festival Hall, and its kitchen is headed by the chef Helena Puolakka. She cooks modern European dishes with slight British influences, depending on the seasonal ingredients. An example of Helena’s masterpieces is the butter poached lobster with cashew nut salad and grapefruit, it is absolutely splendid. The menu of Skylon doesn’t include only nice meals, though. There also are wonderful wines, some of which quite old.

These are not the only good restaurants in London, of course. There are a lot of others which will also impress you with delicious food and interesting atmosphere. I’m going to talk about them in some of my next posts, though.

The reason these restaurants are some of the best in the British capita is not only because of their interior, atmosphere, cuisine and chefs, but because of the hygiene, too. All of them use professional cleaning services, in order to ensure a safe environment for their customers. Commercial kitchen cleaning in London is essential, if the restaurant owners want to serve delicious food and to have lots of customers.
