Substitutes for Commercial Cleaning Detergents

The commercial cleaning detergents are the most used products for cleaning that we usually use. Although these products were introduced in our lives rather late, after the end of the second world war, they quickly substituted the products used for cleaning until then. However, the products used for cleaning before the invention of the commercial cleaners are still available. In fact these products a job just as good as any other cleaning detergents.

When first introduced to the masses the commercial cleaning detergents substituted the products which people were using for thousand of years before that. These products were vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice, salt and other household products. But the use of these household products as cleaning agents wasn’t totally forgotten, because these products are environmentally friendly and green, something that cannot be said about commercial cleaning detergents which are harmful to the environment.

In recent years the growing trend of living green and doing everything the green way has return the popularity of vinegar, baking soda, salt, lemon juice, borax as cleaning solutions.
