Pet Safe Odour Removers

One thing that excites a lot of pet owners is how to remove unpleasant odours from the carpet, but in the same time to do it without exposing the animal to any harm. There are a lot of odour removing cleaning solutions, but so few of them can claim to be safe for the furry creatures that are one of the main cause for the unpleasant odours in the first place. That is why you should be aware what products or ingredients you should avoid using if you don’t want to harm your pet.

If you go to your local store you would probably find, at least, one odour removing solution that claim that it removes the unpleasant odour, but in the same time is safe for your pet. But your best option in this case is to create your own odour removing solution just to be 100% sure that there is no chance what so ever to hurt your pet.

The experts suggest to follow these steps if you want to remove the unpleasant pet odour from the fabrics of the carpet, or upholstery. First create a cleaning solution from one half white vinegar and one half water. Pour the mixture over the stained spot. Take an ordinary scrubby brush to rub the mixture deep into the fabric, and if the stain is small and tiny use an old toothbrush instead. Blot the spot with a stack of paper towels. Remember do not rub the spot, instead push down the paper towels to absorb the liquid until the spot is almost dry.

This will clean the stain, but probably won’t be sufficient to remove the bad odour, too. To do that sprinkle baking soda over the spot. Add half a cup of hydrogen peroxide pour on top of the baking soda. Using the same brush as before rub the ingredients down the carpet fabrics. After that let it dry and vacuum. Of course, carpet cleaning professionals recommend spot-testing this solution on some unnoticeable part of the carpet first.

By using this solution you are making it sure that your pet is not exposed to any harmful cleaning products. And in the same time you are guaranteed that your furry friend won’t do the dirty deed on the same spot ever again because any traces of the bad pet odour would be gone forever.
