How to Remove Dried Pet Stains from a Carpet

Removing pet mess from a carpet could be extremely difficult because even you have removed the stain, an unpleasant odour may left behind. It is always good to tackle a pet stain as soon as it occurs, because the longer it sits on the carpet, the harder it will be to remove. However, in some cases you might be hampered to treat the stain immediately by the simple fact that your pet may have an accident on an area less noticeable for you. Nevertheless, there will be some odour that should give the stain away. Once you have identify the source of smell, follow these simple tips to remove the pet stain from your carpet.

  1. Purchase a good spray carpet cleaner, such as Woolite Oxy Deep Carpet Cleaner or Urine Off. These products are available at most supermarkets, so it shouldn’t be hard for you to find one. Keep in mind that it is not necessary to buy exactly these cleaners, any spray carpet cleaner would do the work as long as it has pet stain removal properties.
  2. Determine the size of the area affected by the pet stain. Apply the carpet stain remover to the entire stained area, so the carpet is thoroughly moistened but not soaked.   3. Wet a clean sponge in warm water and gently press it to the pet stain. Rinse the sponge and blot the area again. Repeat this step until all deposits of cleaner and the stain are removed from the carpet.
