How to Remove Dried Coffee Stains from Fabric

Being a housekeeper means that you will have to deal with stains from time to time. But sometimes, the stain you are trying to remove can be more than stubborn, such as a dried coffee stain. If you spill coffee on a fabric, such as a shirt or upholstery, you should treat the spot immediately to get rid of it the easiest possible way. If you didn’t notice the stain right away, you still have a chance to remove the dried coffee stain as long as you use the right supplies and techniques. Here is how to remove dried coffee stains from fabric effectively.
Instructions

  1. Fill a bucket with cold water and put the stained fabric in it. Allow the fabric to soak in the cold water for at least a half hour before proceeding to the next step.
  2. Apply a pre-wash stain remover directly to the areas affected by coffee and rub it into the fabric using your fingers.
  3. Place the garment in your washing machine and wash it with regular laundry detergent. If milk has been added in the spilled coffee, cleaners Manor Park suggest using an enzyme laundry detergent. Consider adding a small amount of chlorine bleach to the washing cycle if the washing instructions of the fabric’s label allow it.
  4. Once the fabric has been washed, let it dry completely and examine it for any remaining coffee stains. Do not use the dryer before you are completely sure that the coffee stain has been removed, otherwise, the heat can set the stain.
  5. If there are any traces of coffee on the fabric, repeat the entire process.
