How to Move with Cat? Moving Day

In the previous part you’ve understood how to help your cat to prepare for travelling. As you’ve noticed this is a long and difficult process but comparing to moving day, it’s as easy as pie. Let’s discuss how you could deal with your next challenge.

There will be plenty of people who will go in and out of your home all the time, will carry lots of stuff and will make noise. All that could really scare your cat and that’s why you have to take care of him/her before the arrival of removal company London.

During the moving day

Feed your cat in the same time as usual but don’t give it too much food. Spend some time with it, give it a stroke and play with it for a while. After that you have two options:

1. Give him/her to somebody till movers are in your house

Perhaps this is the best choice because will be less stressful for your favourable. Ask somebody who your cat already knows (a family member, a friend or a neighbour who was caring for him/her while you were away). In this way you could be sure that your beloved will be in safe hands, won’t be so stressed and there is less risk to run away or to be hurt.

2. Lock it in an empty and quiet room

If it’s not possible to take advantage of the previous option, then the only alternative is to leave your pet in an empty room. Put all his/her stuff there (a carrier, a litter box, a dish, some water, toys and so on). Make sure that all windows and doors are closed well and warn the movers to stay away of this room. It’s true that it’s not very nice to leave your cat alone but it’s for his/her good. Probably he/she’ll be really scared of all these noises and strangers who are walking around your home and may try to run away. You must prevent that.

After movers load your belongings it’s time you took your cat and set off. In the next part of this article you can find some more useful tips for the last part of your removals London with your cat – settling in your new home.
