How to Get Rid of the Nasty Stain on Your Carpet

Carpets are part of almost any home as an integral addition to the décor. Keeping them clean will benefit not only their attractiveness but that of the entire house as well. Unfortunately, spills happen from time to time and a nasty stain may occur if we don’t take any actions to clean them up from the carpet immediately. The following steps are an easy and effective method for removing most stains from a carpet once and for all.

  1. Get all the supplies you will need to remove the stain from your carpet. These are table salt, stain remover, soft-bristled brush and towels. The items you don’t have at home, you can purchase from most hardware, grocery and drug stores.
  2. Sprinkle a generous amount of table salt over the stained area, as advised by cleaners Queens Park. The salt will absorb the stain-causing liquid from the carpet and could even remove the stain completely as it will absorb not only the moisture but the colouring in the stain as well.
  3. Let the salt sit on the stain for about two hours then saturate the problematic area with the stain remover. Let the solution soak into the carpet for the time instructed on the product’s label so it can effectively lift the stain.
  4. Use the soft-bristled brush to scrub the stain off your carpet then absorb the moisture with a clean towel. Work in circular motion while scrubbing for a better effectiveness.  Re-apply cleaning solution as necessary throughout the cleaning process.
  5. Blot up as much of the moisture as you can, then let the carpet  dry. Once the carpet is dry, vacuum the area you have cleaned to remove any leftover dirt and salt.

Keep these tips in mind and you shouldn’t have any problems getting nasty stains out of your carpet. However, if it happens to have difficulties removing some stubborn carpet stain, you can always call cleaners Queens Park to come in and take care of the stain professionally.
