How to Clean Tomato Ketchup

If you are a fan of fast foods then I guess that a bottle of tomato ketchup can be found in your refrigerator. This delicious souse, poured on different foods, can be a perfect choice for everyone, who likes chips, for instance. However, if you are in a hurry and you are starving, there is a chance, after you have eaten your burger, to not be able to experience the joy of the food, because of the huge ketchup stain on your expensive shirt. This sounds ugly, doesn’t it?!

Unfortunately, house cleaning is often associated with cleaning stains on different surfaces. Stains can be caused by numerous things and because of this there are different sorts of spots. Some of them are easy to be removed, others are difficult to be cleaned. Tomato ketchup can damage fabrics and can leave horrible stains on surfaces. Therefore, you have to know how to remove them effectively. And here are some tips that might help you with this challenge:

1. To get rid of tomato ketchup stains on carpets, you should act fast to achieve optimal results. Before cleaning the area, you should scrape off as much of the spot as you can with a knife or some sharp object. Then, attack the spot with a solution of 1 part glycerine and 1 part water. Apply another solution of soda water or a home-made baking-soda mixture. Wash the problematic area with carpet shampoo.

2. To clean ketchup stains from clothes, you should pre-soak the garment first. Then, wash the garment as usual with some laundry detergent.

3. Make tomato stains to disappear from your upholstery with cold water. You should treat the area gently and do not allow the fabric to get wet, because instead of cleaning it you can damage it. Rinse carefully and dab using a clean, soft cloth to absorb the water. If the stain is still there, cleaners in London advise to treat the area with a proprietary stain removing detergent.
