Disinfect The Bathroom Using Natural Cleaning Products

Here are some tips on how to disinfect your bathroom using green cleaning methods.

Cleaning the bathroom is definitely not one of the most pleasant things to do. Sometimes we neglect cleaning it because we don’t see dirt build up visibly. Problem is that bathrooms are the ideal environment for germs, bacteria and mold to grow. Regular cleaning is essential but it is not enough. At least twice a month you need to deep clean and disinfect your bathroom.

Before you call end of tenancy cleaning teams or spend lots of money on expensive cleaning detergents, you could try our step-by-step routine for disinfecting the bathroom with natural cleaning products. They are cheap, safe to use and can be found in every home.

  1. To do this you will need to get down to the very base of your bathroom interior. Take out all items like bins, toothbrush holders, shampoos and soaps, towels etc.
  2. Sweep and dust the entire bathroom carefully to remove all visible dirt. Make sure you have reached all the “hidden” places.
  3. Make a cleaning solution of one part distilled white vinegar and four parts water. Mix it in a bucket. Dip a clean rag or sponge in the solution and wring it out until it gets thoroughly damp but not soaking. Start cleaning the bathroom tiles working from top to bottom. Then rinse with warm water. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant and deodorizer and will add some extra shine to your bathroom.
  4. Make a new vinegar solution and use it to clean the mirrors. Dry with crumpled newspapers.
  5. Make a thick paste of baking soda and water and apply it on the toilet bowl and the kitchen sink. Use this paste to scrub them, let it stay for half an hour and rinse with warm water. Just like vinegar, baking soda also works as a natural disinfectant. Its abrasive properties also help removing built up dirt.
  6. Use the same vinegar solution to mop up the bathroom floor.
  7. Pour one cup of baking soda in the drains. Follow by adding a cup of white vinegar too. Wait for half an hour and rinse with warm water. This will unclog and disinfect the drains and remove the unpleasant odors.

If you are a busy person and do not have much time to spend on cleaning but still want your bathroom cleaned with eco-friendly products you can call some of the reputable carpet cleaning Hammersmith companies. They provide house cleaning service as well.
