Clean Your Place With Baking Soda

In the end of your tenancy you must clean your rented home thoroughly. This is absolutely obligatory. Moreover, if you don’t do it, you will lose your security bond.

Most renters in big cities use commercial cleaners to manage the move out cleaning chores. They don’t know that there are other, safer products for cleaning, such as baking soda. The housecleaning is a lot more pleasant when it is done with everyday products, which are harmless, than when it is done with chemical-based detergents.

Here are a few chores which can be accomplished with solutions based on baking soda:

  1. Microwave oven cleaning – Put some bicarbonate of soda on a dampen with white vinegar cloth and rub the stains in your microwave with it. They will disappear very fast.
  2. Mix equal parts bread soda and salt. Cover your kitchen sink with this mixture and rub with a soaked with white vinegar or lemon juice sponge. This way you will remove all water marks and soap scum stains from your sink. Rinse with warm water and wipe with a clean cloth in the end.
  3. Mix one cup baking soda with half cup salt and half cup borax, and pour enough vinegar over them to prepare a paste. Heat up your oven, and spread the paste in it. Let it stay until it dries and use a spatula to remove it. All baked-on food stains will be removed with the solution. Wipe with a clean cloth in the end. According to post tenancy cleaners in London, this is the best oven cleaner.
  4. If the carpet in your lodging smells bad, sprinkle baking soda all over it and leave it for a night. Mind that the flooring has to be absolutely dry. Vacuum in the morning and all unpleasant odours will be gone. This deodorising method can be used for upholstery furniture, too.
  5. If you want to remove a stench from your refrigerator, put one cup full of baking soda in it and let it stay for a day or two. It will absorb the odour and your fridge will be fresh again. Mind that, you have to remove the source of the stench before you deodorise the appliance. The same technique is also effective for removing bad odours from kitchen cabinets and wardrobes.
  6. Bicarbonate of soda is one of the best natural deodorisers. Move out cleaning experts from London even advise to use it instead of aerosols to deodorise whole rooms and properties. Mix a box of the product with a pack of potpourri and leave a few cups full of this mixture around your house. After a few hours, or a night the most, your place will smell of flowers.
